Personality, Breed Info & Expectations
Nina is a happy, playful young dog with a fun-loving personality and a heart full of affection. At 11 months old, she is enjoying the best of both worlds—she still has the playful spirit and enthusiasm of a puppy while beginning to mature into a wonderful companion.
Nina loves being around people and enjoys spending her days playing, exploring, and making new friends. She has an upbeat attitude and brings joy wherever she goes. Whether she's chasing a toy, going for a walk, or relaxing with her family after a busy day, Nina approaches life with excitement and a wagging tail.
As a Pit Bull Mix, Nina is likely to be intelligent, loyal, and highly people oriented. Pit Bull-type dogs are known for their affectionate personalities and strong bonds with their families. They thrive when included in daily life and often become incredibly devoted companions.
Nina would thrive in a home prepared for:
Daily exercise and enrichment
Continued training and guidance
Positive socialization experiences
Structure, consistency, and routine
Plenty of companionship and interaction
A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being
She is still a young dog and will benefit from continued training and opportunities to build confidence as she matures.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or formal training before arriving at rescue.
Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption.
Like all rescue dogs, Nina may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her settle in and build confidence as she learns her new surroundings.
Nina will benefit from:
Positive reinforcement training
Daily structure and routine
Continued socialization and exposure
Exercise and mental stimulation
Patience, consistency, and supervision
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 days to decompress
3 weeks to learn your routine
3 months to fully feel at home
With patience, guidance, and commitment, Nina will blossom into a deeply loyal lifelong companion.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life.
Nina will need:
Daily walks, exercise, and interaction
Continued training and guidance
Routine veterinary care and wellness exams
Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
Proper nutrition and weight management
Mental stimulation and enrichment
A safe, stable, indoor living environment
Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, emotional stability, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Nina thrive in her future home.
Nina is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
