OCTOBER 2026
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.
It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat if a kitten is too much energy for you! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER was living in a neighborhood in Colton, California. The nice man is taking care of a colony of feral cats that live in his area and yard. We helped him get 6 cats fixed. When we picked them up, we noticed that DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER was not feral. He was just very timid and scared. And he is so handsome. Sweet too!
Meet DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER, an orange and white tabby from Colton, California, whose quiet charm and gentle soul are sure to capture your heart. With his soft, fluffy fur and big, round eyes, DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER is a true gentle giant. Despite being a little on the shy side, this affectionate boy has a heart of gold and is just starting to show his true colors.
DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER may be timid at first, but once he feels safe and secure, he’s a loving companion who will allow you to pet him. Though he’s still learning to trust, he is slowly gaining confidence and opening up to the joys of being loved and cared for. His submissive nature means he’s not likely to demand attention, but if you’re patient with him, he’ll show his appreciation in the sweetest ways, whether with a soft purr or a little head nudge to say "thank you" for your kindness.
As a big boy, DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER may seem a bit intimidating at first glance, but don’t let his size fool you—he’s a big softie at heart. He needs a calm and understanding environment where he can continue to blossom into the affectionate cat he’s meant to be. A loving family with a quiet routine would be perfect for him, where he can take things at his own pace and feel the safety he craves. He’s still figuring out how to open up, but with the right encouragement, he will flourish into a loving companion who brings joy to your life.
If you’re looking for a cat who will quietly sit by your side and share a peaceful moment with you, DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER could be the perfect fit. His journey of trust is just beginning, and he needs someone patient to help him along the way.
Would you be the one to help him feel at home and learn to love?
DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. He is about 3 years and 4 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and seems non-reactive to dogs.
