Great Pyrenees

Thomasville, NCAvailable for adoption0 views

Milana is a beautiful 7-year-old Great Pyrenees mix. Prior to coming to Ruff Love, she was primarily an outdoor dog and the neighbor's children threw sticks and stones at her, so her owner took her to the animal shelter. The shelter contacted Ruff Love and she came to us. She is incredibly sweet and gentle. Because of her difficult past with children being unkind to her, she would do better with an older couple that doesn't have children around. She would thrive in a home that's calm. She deserves a family that is as wonderful as she is. Milan is a very laid back dog. She doesn't do well with other dogs that have a lot of energy. She could get along with an older dog that is as calm as she is. But she loves to relax and doesn't want to play like high energy dogs do. She would also love to be an only dog.

The mission of Ruff Love Rescue (www.ruffloverescue.com) is to provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, neglected, and/or abandoned dogs; especially those seen as poor adoption prospects. We maintain information about reputable canine organizations and rescues, networking with as many of these as possible to place adoptable dogs in responsible, loving environments, either through foster care or whenever possible, forever homes. We are a home based foster group with no adoption facility. We adopt to North Carolina but in special circumstances can go out of state. We use every pro-bono means at our disposal to raise public awareness about homeless animals and responsible pet care as well as to find homes for our dogs. Dogs who are not adopted will live out their lives at Ruff Love. Ruff Love Rescue is run entirely by volunteers. We have full time jobs and save dogs in our spare time. Currently RLR has over 100 dogs. Since 1999, Sue Rogers, President/Founder and RLR volunteers have found forever homes for hundreds of homeless dogs.
