Rosie #10 | 4-year-old Whippet mix | Your sweet little snuggler
Rosie is a 4-year-old Whippet mix and an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle. She would happily spend her days surrounded by her people and a pile of plush toys. She can be nervous around new people and in unfamiliar situations, but she isn't aggressive and simply needs some time to feel comfortable. Once she does, she is a loving and easygoing companion.
Rosie is a low-maintenance girl who does great with grooming, vet visits, and handling. She walks nicely on leash and loves taking in the world around her. If another dog barks at her or gets her attention on a walk, she responds well to “Leave it!” and is happy to keep moving. Rosie is also a great little watchdog who likes to keep her people informed whenever someone walks by, a visitor arrives, or a delivery shows up at the door!
Rosie would enjoy having a canine friend but would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only dog, soaking up all the love. She is not a good fit for a home with cats, as she can become a little obsessed with them and will chase them. Because she is vocal, she is not suited for apartment, condo, or townhome living. A house with a yard would be ideal.
Rosie is house trained, although adopters should expect that accidents can happen while she adjusts to a new home. She has a lot of love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, cuddly girl who just needs a little time to feel at home.
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for Rosie is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please give us 72 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
