Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.
Nyla is Looking For: Her forever home! Nyla is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She did an amazing job of raising her babies Nayra, Niko, Nina, Nolan, and Noor to be great family pets and they're all headed off to get their forever homes too. Nyla is in her prime as a young dog and hasn't seen enough of the world - she's eager to get her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures her family can dream up. Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved all her days. In exchange she promises so much love and loyalty. What do you say? Can you see her by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Nyla is such a sweetheart! She loves pets and likes to reach up and hug your leg to get more – it’ll melt your heart. She’s playing well with our resident dog, is food motivated, and settling in easily. She seems very comfortable in the crate and goes right in whenever she is sleepy for naps and sleeps through the night in her crate without a complaint. Nyla is working on leash manners and basic commands like sit, and her house training is going very well. She gets excited to meet other dogs and is now BFFs with our neighbor's dogs. She is easy to love!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
