Gorgeous Balder has won over so many already, with his devotion and love for whichever human is currently caring for him! He is a puppy who still has growing to do, and will benefit from puppy chow for large breed dogs for many months. Because he had some interesting issues with his gait, where one leg was a little stiff and gave him the appearance of a limp, one of the first things we did was to visit the vet, veterinarian, and get x-rays done on his back legs and his pelvis. The good news from the vet office was that nothing could organically be seen, snd malnutrition as his bones were developing was most likely the cause for what appears to be slightly stunted bone growth. It always hurts to hear that puppies have had poor nutrition and cannot reach their full growth potential, but to put things in perspective, the personality that Balder has developed is very special and unique, and we are focusing on that personality rather than his size. Balder is devoted to humans, snd doesn’t understand that he may be too large to be a lap dog. He is lovely with other dogs, and is currently living with three others in his foster home. He has also been exposed to cats and is non-reactive. With strangers, he has no issues, and we feel he most likely would be lovely with children, although we have not introduced him formally to any youngsters.
