Sandy (11.5 years old)

Sandy is one of our sweet and gentle senior cats who really needs a hero. He is a charming and loving cat who needs someone to give him a badly-needed second chance. Sandy has lived most of his life in an adult-only home where an older couple kept him as the only pet and object of their affections. Through no fault of his own, Sandy finds himself without a home and without those reassuring, peaceful people to love and hug him. Going forward, Sandy needs the same kind of warm and serene home with no other pets and no children. Once he gets to know you, he will quietly sit beside you and keep you company. He enjoys being petted lightly and massaged around the sides of his face and the back of his head and neck. He can be shy at first and would like you to provide him with some cubbyholes and cat caves where he can hide if he wishes. He especially enjoys being next to you if you are sitting on the couch or in an oversized armchair. Sandy is not too old to play, so give him some toys, and invite him to play-sessions with you and a feather wand toy. Sandy is a lovely gentleman who deserves a mellow and comforting home with one or two people who will adore him. Could that be you?
