Midnight has had a complete transformation since coming to us. When he was first left at the shelter by his family, he was terrified and let it out on anyone who came near him. However, within 24 hours in a foster home, he had calmed down, and within a week it was like seeing a completely different cat. We're not sure what it was that upset him - being left alone, being stuck in a cage, having other loud dogs around, or all three - but we do know he is doing much better now.
Although initially Midnight may be hesitant when getting to know someone for the first time, once he trusts you this sweet cat LOVES attention and affection. He will get as close to you or your hands as possible if it means he can get pet. Midnight has a LOT of energy - initially he seemed like an overgrown kitten unsure how to play, but now with the right toys he will leap in the air. He has no problem laying in your lap and will crawl right onto you so he can get some love! We have found that he does do okay with other cats and gets along with his foster cat buddy, but he doesn't understand cat social cues so will need his family to be patient and help with a very slow introduction. He also seems to do fine with children if they learn to give him space to adjust and recognize when he is overstimulated. Please take this handsome guy home!
