MEET SWEET SALLY

Sally is a beautiful one-year-old Border Collie cross, approximately 50 lbs, and the incredible mama of 12 puppies. Sally had found what we hoped would be her forever home through a foster-to-adopt placement. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected and urgent change in her foster family’s circumstances, Sally has come back into rescue through absolutely no fault of her own. This sweet girl became a mother while she was still practically a puppy herself. She missed out on so much of her own puppyhood raising her babies, and now that her job as Mama is finished, it’s finally Sally’s turn. And boy, is she making up for lost time! Sally is playful, dog-friendly, submissive, obedient and beautifully well-balanced. She LOVES romping around with other dogs, especially dogs around her own size, and she’s discovered the joy of playing fetch. She walks beautifully on leash, travels well in the car and is learning what life inside a home is all about. Take her through a crowd and she’ll happily work her way around collecting every pet and bit of attention she can get.

Sally is simply kind and gentle. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog to romp, wrestle and conspire with. In a very short time, Sally has become not only a rescue favourite, but a favourite in our community. There is just something incredibly special about this girl. She gave everything to her 12 babies. Now it’s Sally’s turn to have someone give everything to her. Please consider giving this wonderful young dog the life she deserves.
