Tana — 8 Months Old • Gentle • Overwhelmed but Sweet
Tana is an 8‑month‑old girl who has been deeply failed by humans, and she’s just now learning what kindness, safety, and indoor life feel like. It is possible she & her littermates were kept in an outdoor pen, and it’s likely she spent her entire young life outside with very little human interaction or guidance.
Personality & Temperament
Tana is incredibly sweet, soft, and gentle. Even though everything in her new world is overwhelming, she still came right over for attention and affection. She wants connection — she’s just unsure how to navigate it yet.
Learning & Progress
Because she hasn’t experienced much, basic skills are brand new to her.
The leash is unfamiliar.
She didn’t know how to potty on leash.
In her first training class, she wasn’t able to learn commands yet — so we focused on treats, toys, and making the experience positive.
Tana is not “behind.” She’s simply starting at the beginning, and she deserves patience, gentleness, and a home that understands trauma‑based decompression.
