Chiquita is a female dog who presented with severe dental disease and generalized alopecia (hair loss) of unknown cause. She will require further veterinary care and diagnostic testing to determine the underlying cause of her hair loss and to address her significant dental disease. This level of ongoing medical evaluation, diagnostics, and treatment exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite her medical concerns, Chiquita remains resilient and is doing her best while receiving supportive care. Chiquita needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive continued veterinary evaluation, appropriate diagnostics, dental treatment, and the follow-up care necessary to improve her overall health and comfort.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care.
