My name is Chico, and I am what you might call a substantial cat. At eighteen pounds, I take up space in the best way possible. I’m a little shy at first, but once my brother Chester gives the go-ahead, I’ll come out to investigate and perhaps lean in for some head scritches. I enjoy lounging, observing, and making a dramatic fuss anytime I have to go into a carrier. You haven’t heard true protest until you’ve tried to take me to the vet. I’m sweet, gentle, and more emotionally sensitive than I let on.
After our human passed away, Chester and I were adopted together, but we were recently returned after being bounced around for a while. Cats-Can did not learn what had happened until afterward, but through every change, Chester and I still had each other. We have never been apart, and after so much uncertainty, we need a stable home where we can stay together for good. I’m not slow to love; I’m simply thoughtful about whom I trust. If you appreciate a calm companion who may secretly be a poet trapped inside a big orange body, we might get along beautifully. Just don’t ask me to get into the carrier. Seriously.
This kitty is currently in a loving foster home and has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, has age appropriate vaccinations, and has been spayed/neutered.
