LOCATED IN MONTGOMERY, TX Meet Cricket! This sweet 2.5-year-old, 35-pound girl is spayed, up to date on her veterinary care, and ready for her forever home! She is affectionate, eager to please, and picks up routines and commands quickly. She loves treats and wants nothing more than to be beside her people—her foster mom is her favorite, with foster dad a close second. Cricket has been around children in a large family setting and did well with her foster family's nieces, ages 8, 12, and 14. She has not been around younger children. She is doing well on a leash and knows her name, sit, come, potty, and other basic commands. Cricket is playful and loves having a doggie playmate. She does well with male or non-dominant dogs and has a blast chasing, being chased, and wrestling with her foster brother. She also loves toys, fetch, tug-of-war, and her cat friends. Her foster mom has been spending a little too much time in the HomeGoods toy aisle lately! Cricket does great in her kennel, especially when rewarded with a special treat. She has learned that her kennel is a safe place to relax. At night, she enjoys listening to soothing dog music before settling in. She enjoys going outside but is just as happy heading back inside to the AC! Most of all, Cricket loves to give and receive affection. She’ll lay her head on your chest and completely melt your heart. Cricket is ready for her forever family—and she has so much love to give! The perfect home for Cricket: She would love a friendly male dog to share her adventures and playtime with, but she could also be happy as the only dog in an active home where she gets plenty of attention, play, and exercise. A fenced-in yard is preferred. Children aren’t required, but she has done well with older kids (6+) and would be happy to have them as part of her family.
