Meet Harley, an 8 lb, 2-year-old Yorkie mix looking for her forever family!
Background: Sweet Harley spent her first two years of life loved by her owner. Sadly, her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. We were able to secure a foster home for her to avoid entering the shelter.
Personality: Harley is a true people-lover and greets everyone like they are a long-lost friend. She adores human companionship and follows her foster family room to room. The moment someone sits down, Harley is right beside them, ready to snuggle. While she tolerates other dogs, she would much rather have her humans all to herself and prefers not to share the spotlight with other pets.
Health: Harley is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
Training: Harley is potty trained and walks nicely on a leash.
Ideal Home: Harley would thrive with a family that is home much of the time and can give her the attention and companionship she craves. She would not be a good fit for a home where she would be alone for long periods or expected to sleep in a crate at night. As a Yorkie, Harley will also need regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking its best. Harley would love to be the only pet in the household, and she would likely do well with children. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow and constant companion, Harley may be the perfect addition to your family.
Because of her tiny size, a securely fenced yard is ideal so she can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. Families in the Phoenix area should be mindful of local wildlife and always supervise her outside to keep her safe from coyotes and other desert predators.
Adoption Requirements: Harley's adoption fee is $400. *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
