Ottoman can be a little timid when meeting new people, but give him just a little time and he’ll quickly become your best friend. Once he warms up to you, his loyalty knows no bounds.
He loves going for walks, looking out the window, and getting all the belly scratches he can. He’s a pretty quiet guy when out in public and has such a gentle demeanor. He does enjoy chasing bunnies and squirrels, but it’s all in good fun! ️
Ottoman knows a couple of basic commands, including come and heel. He does get nervous during thunderstorms, so he’ll appreciate a loving family who can reassure him when the skies get scary. ⛈️
Because Ottoman is a low rider, his foster family is careful not to let him jump off beds to help keep him safe.
Note that this dog has been treated for heartworm and will need monthly heartworm preventatives year round for life.

Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
