Chatsworth is a friendly, affectionate boy! When he greets you, you can see how his soul sparkles with love for his people. He likes to cuddle, and he likes to check on what you are doing and make sure you're okay and if he can be involved. Whatever you have going on, Chatsworth would be your companion and very best friend, honored to be chosen to spend his life with you. He promises to do everything he can to brighten your days.
Chatsworth does test positive for FIV, which just means a lower immune system than average. He also has a regressive FeLV infection. This means the virus is in his body, but he is not showing any problems resulting from it. He is doing great! FeLV can shorten a cat's lifespan, though with regressive FeLV, a typical lifespan is possible. At the end of the day, we don't know how long anyone will live, but we do know how much love Chatsworth has to give, and how much it would mean to him to be accepted and adopted, to have a permanent family for the time he has. Because of the transmission risk with FeLV, his family should not include any other cats, unless they are also FeLV positive.
Many people might look at Chatsworth's profile and see a diagnosis. An end. But we have looked into Chatsworth's face, and we see a beginning. We see the present. We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes. For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.

All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:
Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus
Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age)
Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment
Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions
Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
