This puppy is available FOSTER-TO-ADOPT only as he has not yet been neutered.
Puppy Adoption Requirement: Because this puppy is currently too young/small to be altered, 50% of the adoption fee is due at the time of placement. Once the puppy reaches the appropriate age and weight, the adopter is required to present the puppy to our designated veterinarian for spay/neuter surgery. The remaining 50% of the adoption fee must be paid in full before the puppy is picked up following surgery. Completion of the scheduled spay/neuter is a condition of the adoption.

Duke is one of Cookie’s handsome little puppies, sporting beautiful black-and-tan coloring, expressive eyes, and some seriously impressive little ears that appear to have minds of their own.
Duke is still at the beginning of his journey. He is growing, playing, exploring, learning, and experiencing new things every day. His adult personality is still developing, making continued positive socialization and training especially important.
Duke’s forever family should be ready for everything that comes with puppyhood — house-training, supervision, puppy mischief, basic manners, socialization, and plenty of patience.
He needs someone who understands that adopting a puppy means making a commitment not only to the adorable baby standing in front of you today, but also to the adult and senior dog he will eventually become.

Yorkie Rescue Houston provides the rescue support — you provide the safe place and the cuddles. When he is old enough, you present him to our vet for neuter surgery and only then, do we finalize the adoption.
