Hi! I’m Rufus—a shy, silly, 6-year-old Shepherd/Pit mix (70 lbs) looking for my forever home! I can be a little awkward at times, but I love car rides, plushy toys, cuddles, and doggy playdates. Fetch isn't my style, but I'm a fantastic, quiet driving buddy and companion.I warm up to women quickly, but I'm friendly with everyone once given a moment. I’d do great with a dog sibling—I'm patient with playful pups and happy to lounge with calmer dogs. I don't currently live with kids or small pets but my old best friend was a 25lb dachshund.I’m non-destructive, didn't need a crate in foster care, and walk nicely on a leash without much pulling. My recall could use a little practice, but I'm a smart, gentle boy ready to give you all my love!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
