Comment ne pas tomber en amour avec la belle petite face de Tropicana?
Ce magnifique chat d’un peu plus d’un an, au look de vieux toutou et à la voix rauque, a été trouvé errant à Laval. Depuis novembre, une gentille personne le nourrissait et veillait sur lui, lui permettant de survivre jusqu’au mois de mai de cette année. Inquiète pour sa survie et voyant tout le potentiel d’un merveilleux compagnon, elle nous l’a confié.
Tropicana est un chat particulièrement amusant et attachant. Il adore attirer notre attention et recevoir des caresses. Il jase avec sa petite voix grafignée et peut même donner des petites croques lorsqu’il a eu assez de contact… ou lorsque vous ne faites pas tout à fait votre travail comme il se doit!
L’idéal pour lui serait une famille sans autres chats, mais une cohabitation avec un chat indépendant pourrait également être envisageable. Nous croyons aussi qu’il pourrait vivre avec des enfants suffisamment âgés pour comprendre et respecter ses limites. Tropicana aime jouer, observer le monde d’en haut et vous accompagner lors de vos soirées cinéma. Bon… il devra simplement avoir son mot à dire sur le choix du film!
Tropicana est FIV positif. Cela signifie qu’il aura besoin d’une nourriture de bonne qualité et d’un suivi régulier de sa santé dentaire, puisque son système immunitaire est plus fragile. Malgré cela, un chat FIV peut vivre encore de très nombreuses et belles années. Il devra vivre exclusivement à l’intérieur, comme tous nos chats. C’est plus sécuritaire pour lui… et pour les oiseaux, car Tropicana ferait certainement un excellent chasseur! Le garder actif, en forme et bien stimulé grâce au jeu vous permettra de développer une magnifique complicité avec lui. Et en échange, il vous offrira ce qu’il sait faire de mieux: de merveilleux headbumps remplis d’amour.
Tropicana est un chat adulte, donc les frais d'adoption sont de 310$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné, micropucé.
Il est positif pour le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF), mais négatif pour la leucose féline (FeLV). Bien que porteur du VIF, les risques de transmettre le virus à un autre chat sont minimes. Il est en bonne santé et pourra vivre encore de nombreuses années.

How could anyone not fall in love with Tropicana’s sweet little face?
This beautiful cat, just over a year old, with the looks of an old teddy bear and a raspy little voice, was found as a stray in Laval. Since November, a kind person had been feeding him and looking after him, helping him survive until May of this year. Concerned for his well-being and seeing the potential for a wonderful companion in him, she entrusted him to us.
Tropicana is an especially funny and affectionate cat. He loves getting our attention and receiving cuddles. He chats with his scratchy little voice and may even give you a few little nips when he’s had enough contact… or when you’re not quite doing your job properly! Ideally, Tropicana would be the only cat in the home, but living with an independent cat could also be an option. We also believe he could live with children who are old enough to understand and respect his boundaries. Tropicana loves to play, observe the world from up high, and keep you company during movie nights. Well… he’ll just have to have a say in which movie you watch!
Tropicana is FIV-positive. This means he will need good-quality food and regular dental care, as his immune system is more fragile. Despite this, an FIV-positive cat can still live a long and happy life. He will need to be strictly kept indoors, like all of our cats. This is safer for him… and for the birds, because Tropicana would undoubtedly make an excellent hunter! Keeping him active, fit, and mentally stimulated through play will help you build a wonderful bond with him. And in return, he’ll give you what he does best: the most wonderful headbumps filled with love.
Tropicana is an adult

He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) but negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Although he carries FIV, the risk of transmitting the virus to another cat is very low. He is in good health and can still live a long and happy life.
