Roscoe -Black Male, 2 years old, 60 lbs. ❤️
Roscoe is a fun, loving boy who has a wonderful balance of playful, goofy and affectionate. He loves his toys and has his own unique way of entertaining himself. Give him a toy and he may happily toss it into the air, chase after it and then pounce on it. His ball? Well, that's just another toy to him. Don't expect a game of fetch—Roscoe is independent like that!
He also loves having a doggy friend. Roscoe enjoys playing, running and sharing toys with his fellow foster dog. He has a fun, animated side, but he also knows how to settle down and relax. One of his favorite things is cuddling with his person, resting his head on their chest and falling asleep. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who really enjoys being with his people.
Roscoe would be a wonderful companion for a family with older children who have been taught to respect a dog. He has never been a jumper with his foster dad or visitors, and he has a nice ability to switch between his crazy, playful moments and his calm, rest-and-relax times. He can entertain himself, enjoys companionship and is happiest when he can be part of the family.
Roscoe is still working on his basic commands. He knows sit and will return when called, but his training was put on hold while he recovered from surgery. Now that he's feeling better, he's ready to get back to learning.
Roscoe has been on a long recovery journey following TPLO surgery on July 17, 2026, and he has been an incredibly cooperative and patient boy throughout the process. He also had a previous leg fracture that did not heal properly, so he may favor his back leg when he gets tired. This does not keep him down at all as a young dog.
Most importantly, Roscoe has recovered really well, thanks in large part to the dedication and care of his foster dad. After months of patience and healing, this sweet boy is ready to put his recovery behind him and start enjoying all the good things life has to offer. Apply for Roscoe at
