Meet Blade — the bestest little dude! Blade is a 4-year-old, 18lb. possible Chihuahua/Schipperke mix who is an absolute sweetheart and is ready for the family he deserves. Blade was originally surrendered by his owner and sadly ended up in the shelter, where he spent two long months through absolutely no fault of his own. Despite everything, this little guy has remained an incredibly loving, happy boy. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, loves people. He can be a little timid when he first meets you, but give him about five minutes, a hot dog, and a little patience—and congratulations, you’ve officially made a best friend for life. Blade is great in the car, crate trained, doing great at learning to walk on leash, enjoys playing with toys, and is just an all-around incredible little dude. His house training is still a work in progress (and it's mostly marking), but in the mean time, he sports a belly band with pride. He loves running around in a fenced yard, so that would certainly be preferable for him. He is a medium-energy boy, loves his zoomies but also knows how to chill with the best of them. Whether you're looking for a buddy to join you on your next adventure or a sweet little companion who would happily curl up in a soft bed and enjoy the good life, Blade is ready for either. He’s been through enough waiting. Now he’s looking for his forever person—the one who will show him just how good life can be. And in return, Blade promises to be the very bestest boy. We are requiring an all-adult home for Blade. If you believe Blade could be your new best friend and you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, complete an app and tell us more about you.
