About Kristina’s Breed:
Our best guess is that Kristina is a Hound mixed breed. Hound mixes are joyful, curious, and expressive dogs who often blend the hound group’s signature friendliness with a playful, eager to learn nature. They tend to be social, gentle companions who enjoy exploring the world, following interesting scents, and bonding closely with their people. Many hound mixes have a bright, happy energy paired with a sweet, affectionate disposition, making them wonderful family dogs.
Their ideal home is one that offers companionship, patience, and opportunities for light adventure. Hound mixes thrive with adopters who enjoy short walks, yard time, and letting their dog sniff and explore safely. They do well with friendly dogs, gentle children, and families who appreciate a dog that is both playful and mellow. A home that can provide structure, kindness, and encouragement as they continue learning about the world is where a hound mix truly shines.
What to Love about Kristina:
Kristina loves her toys, chew bones, and playing with other dogs, and she gets along beautifully with her four small foster siblings and one giant one! She’s a people pleaser who adores treats (and ice cubes!) and loves being loved. Kristina is timid with strangers at first and warms up more quickly to women, but once she knows you, she loves everyone equally — and treats make that process much faster! She’s a fast learner with limited world experience and has a very promising future ahead.
Kristina is house trained, though she may have a tiny excitement pee now and then. She’s crate trained, quiet, and even chooses her crate for private downtime. She hasn’t met young kids yet but would likely do well with gentle, dog savvy children. With other dogs, she’s more submissive and often flops onto her back during introductions. She’s met chickens and is very interested in how they smell but has never tried to bite. She’s met cats and has done well with them in her former foster home. Kristina has some puppy energy and loves to run, explore, and go on adventures — but she also sleeps a lot. She does well on a leash and just needs more practice.
This sweet, eager to please girl loves her people deeply and is ready to find a family of her very own. With her gentle nature, playful spirit, and bright future, Kristina is hoping her forever home is with you!
