Boise is ready to be the cuddlebug cat of your dreams. His current foster describes him as “all love,” and he wants nothing more than to spend his days close to his people. If you’ve been looking for a cat who will devote themselves to you, Boise is your guy!
Boise is one special cat. He settled into his foster home almost immediately and took no time at all making himself comfortable. If you’re working from home, expect him to curl up in your lap and to make special appearances during your Zoom meetings. He will gently paw your face when he thinks he’s not getting quite enough attention, but he’ll do it politely. He’s a very devoted cat to his people. He greets most newcomers by sitting on their lap as if to say, “Hello! Nice to meet you. Now give me some love!” Not so much with younger people; Boise has proven he’s not a fan of young children. He’s good with older kids, but ones who are on the quieter, more predictable side.
One of Boise’s most endearing quirks is that he likes to bring you toys all the time. He will hunt down any stuffed animal that he can carry, and bring them to you to show off his accomplishments. If you have things you need to do though, Boise is generally entertained by watching birds outside. He also enjoys the occasional wand toy if you’re up for playing with him, and he loves a little catnip now and then.
If he’s not relaxing somewhere, he’ll come up and ask for pets or lap time while you drink your morning coffee (and will come back if you get up for a coffee refill or other tasks). Boise will usually find a spot in the sun for the afternoon and bask in its rays until it’s dark out and dinner is served. He’s done very well with his foster’s resident cat and understands when she needs some space. At bedtime, he hops up on the bed with you, and if you’re reading or scrolling on your phone, he will sit right on your chest. When you turn off the lights, he’ll snuggle right next to your head. Sweet dreams!
Boise has chronic mouth issues, and is on medication for pain management and inflammation.
