Meet Gibson!
Gibson is a 1-year-old Border/Irish Terrier mix weighing 11 pounds, and while he may be a little shy when you first meet him, don't mistake that hesitation for a lack of personality.
Give Gibson a little time to decide you're okay, and suddenly there's a whole different dog standing in front of you. Once he's comfortable, his energetic, playful side starts to emerge and he's ready to join the fun.
There is also a very reliable shortcut to Gibson's heart: Food.
Gibson LOVES food and treats, and he's always willing to investigate whatever delicious possibility might be coming his way. Toys haven't impressed him nearly as much so far. Apparently Gibson has priorities.
He gets along well with other dogs and has already become particularly attached to his buddy Martin. In fact, Gibson loves Martin considerably more than Martin appears to love Gibson. Gibson doesn't seem bothered by this minor imbalance in their friendship and continues to be Martins enthusiastic little sidekick anyway.
Because Gibson is still new to Canine Castaways, were continuing to learn about him. We haven't discovered all his quirks, preferences, or exactly what his perfect forever home looks like yet.
What we do know is that beneath that initially shy exterior is a young, energetic little dog who enjoys canine companionship, appreciates a really good snack, and is becoming more comfortable showing us who he is every day.
Gibson may need a little time when you first meet him.
But bring treats and you've already made an excellent opening argument.

ADOPTION DONATION: $300
This adoption donation helps to cover the vet expenses for this dog including heartworm preventive which is dispensed at the initial vet visit and then goes with the dog at adoption. All vet records will be provided to adopter.
