Nysa is an approximately 3-year-old, 25# Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix, and this little girl is an absolute SWEETHEART!
Nysa would thrive in a calm, predictable home with a routine she can easily settle into. She does struggle with anxiety and will need to remain on her daily medication.
Before coming to us, Nysa experienced some significant anxiety that resulted in situations becoming more stressful than she could handle. She did bite one of her previous owners. We are happy to discuss the specific circumstances in detail with anyone seriously interested in adopting her.
But here’s the GOOD news… since arriving at the shelter, Nysa has been an absolute little lady! Her medication has made a HUGE difference in her anxiety, and we are thrilled with the progress she has made.
Nysa does well with other dogs, but because she can become overstimulated, we are looking for a calm, adult home with no young children and no other dogs. She will absolutely THRIVE with someone who can give her lots of one-on-one time, patience, structure and love.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
