Golda is available for ADOPTION OR FOSTER.
At 9 years old, Golda is proof that senior dogs still have so much love to give. She came to the Richardson Animal Shelter after concerned citizens found her unable to walk and covered in sores. Thanks to weeks of dedicated care, she's now walking, thriving, and ready to find her forever home!
If you're looking for a dog with a big heart who just wants to share love and joy, Golda is waiting for you. She deserves a home where she can be cherished and cared for.
Golda is a sweet, gentle girl who is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and has a calm, loving personality. She loves spending time with her people and will make a wonderful companion. She has also met a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old and did wonderful with both, showing just how gentle and loving she is with children.
Golda does have a medical condition: squamous cell carcinoma in situ, a type of skin cancer. While her tumors may continue to grow, they are not expected to spread beyond the skin. She recently had the largest tumors removed to keep her comfortable, and future monitoring will be important. Golda should avoid spending time in the sun, but otherwise she's happy and full of life.
Golda would do best as the only pet in the home and should not live with other dogs or cats. She's ready to soak up all the love and attention for herself.
After everything she has been through, Golda deserves a safe, loving home where she can finally relax, be loved, and be spoiled. ❤️
