Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Like all puppies, Botas is still learning about the world around her. Her new family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, house-training, and exploring everything with curiosity.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to learn your household routine
3 Months to fully settle into family life
Botas is eager to learn and will thrive with patient, positive reinforcement training.
Her new family should continue providing:

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes proper veterinary care, training, exercise, and companionship.
As part of responsible pet ownership, Botas will need:
Routine veterinary wellness examinations
Completion of any remaining vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian
Spaying when age-appropriate
Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention
A balanced, high-quality diet to support healthy growth
Daily exercise and mental enrichment
Continued obedience training and socialization
A safe, loving indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family
As a distemper survivor, we recommend sharing Botas' medical history with your veterinarian during her first wellness visit. Many distemper survivors go on to live long, active, and fulfilling lives with routine veterinary care and loving homes.
