Before Pearl ever opened her eyes, her beautiful Great Pyrenees mama, Lady Anne, was simply trying to survive. Pregnant and homeless, she searched desperately for a safe place to have her babies. She finally found shelter beneath a small rental house, where she quietly dug herself a den and gave birth to ten perfect puppies with no one to help her.
For those first few days, this devoted mama did everything alone. She searched for food, protected her babies, and somehow kept all ten alive. But when the little family was discovered, their future became uncertain. The landlord wanted them gone immediately and even threatened to drown the puppies and throw their mama out.Thankfully, one phone call changed everything. Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, and when the puppies were only three days old, Lady Anne and all ten babies were safely transported to an experienced foster home. There, for the first time, Mama could simply be a mother instead of worrying about survival. She lovingly raised her puppies for seven wonderful weeks before they moved into smaller foster homes to receive even more one-on-one attention and continue growing into confident, well-socialized family companions.
One of those precious little miracles is Pearl...Pearl seems to wake up every morning believing it's going to be the best day ever—and she makes everyone around her feel the same way. With her fluffy coat, bright eyes, and ever-present smile, she radiates pure joy wherever she goes.
She loves to romp and wrestle with her puppy friends but is just as content curling up beside her people for snuggles. Pearl has an incredibly gentle, loving heart and has never met a stranger. She shares her foster home with a giant Golden Retriever, a Husky, a Rat Terrier, and a Schnauzer mix, happily making friends with every one of them. She especially adores her foster family's 11-year-old, who has become one of her favorite playmates.
Pearl is making wonderful progress with both crate training and house training and continues to grow into a confident, easygoing puppy. She is expected to mature around 70–75 pounds like her beautiful Great Pyrenees mama, becoming both a stunning dog and an incredibly devoted companion.
