Born on May 4th, he's full of puppy curiosity, playful energy, and a joyful spirit that makes every day a little brighter. If there's an adventure to be had, Rumi wants to be right in the middle of it—and if there's someone to love afterward, he's all in for that too.Rumi was born as one of ten puppies to a stray purebred Great Pyrenees mom who gave birth beneath a house, doing everything she could to keep her babies safe. Thanks to rescue, Rumi has grown into a healthy, happy puppy who's now ready to begin the next exciting chapter of his life with a family of his very own.His favorite part of the day is running around the yard, chasing a ball, playing with his foster family's children, and making the most of every minute outside. Once he's burned off all that puppy energy, Rumi transforms into the sweetest cuddle bug. He'll happily stretch out beside you on the couch for a well-earned nap, proving that even the most adventurous pups know the value of quiet moments with the people they love.Rumi has been raised around large dogs, cats, and young children between the ages of 1 and 6. He greets everyone with a happy heart and seems convinced that every person and every animal is a potential friend. His outgoing personality, combined with his loving nature, makes him a wonderful candidate for a family looking for a puppy to grow up alongside them.He's doing very well with both crate training and house training and is eager to learn. Like all puppies, he'll continue to thrive with patient, positive, and consistent training. We expect Rumi to mature into a large, beautiful dog, weighing approximately 75 to 80 pounds, so he's looking for a family ready to embrace all the love—and all the size—that comes with a Great Pyrenees mix.Because Rumi is naturally curious and enjoys exploring, he'll need a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and satisfy his adventurous spirit.
