Meet Nola!
Nola is a 9-month-old German Shepherd who is ready to bring her whole heart into a new home. She's spent the last month in a loving foster home, and she's blossomed into a playful, silly, deeply loyal girl who just wants to be near her people — literally. Expect her to follow you from room to room, because in Nola's world, wherever you are is exactly where she wants to be.
Nola's Personality
Nola is high-energy, active, and always up for something fun. She loves going on walks, playing fetch, and chewing on toys to her heart's content. She's playful and a little silly, and once she knows you, get ready to be kissed to death — she is an affectionate, loving girl with the people she trusts.
She's also protective of her home and family. She'll bark at strangers approaching the door or passing by the car, which makes her a great watchdog, but it also means she'll need continued socialization and confident, consistent handling as she grows into her adult personality.
Great With
-
Children — Nola does great with kids
-
Humans — She's loyal and affectionate with her people
-
Young, energetic dogs — She loves other dogs and plays best with pups who can match her high energy
Needs a Home Without
-
Cats — Nola is not a good fit for a home with cats
-
Older or lower-energy dogs — She loves all dogs, but her high energy can be a lot for more mellow or senior dogs to handle. She'd do best as an only dog or paired with a playmate closer to her own energy level
Training & Daily Life
Nola is crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate overnight. She's also familiar with a dog door and uses it reliably to go potty when she has access to it — she has had house accidents on occasions when that access was restricted, so a home with a dog door (or a commitment to a consistent, frequent potty schedule) will set her up for success.
She's up to date on all her shots and is spayed, so she's ready to settle into her forever home.
