A lifetime of love and commitment
Max has already experienced what it's like to lose a home. Now he's simply hoping his next family will be his forever family.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Although Max has lived with a family before, every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. New routines, new people, and unfamiliar surroundings can take a little time to understand.
Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule:
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to learn your household routine
3 Months to fully settle into family life
Max's friendly and easygoing nature will help him adapt, especially with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
His new family should continue providing:
Positive reinforcement training
Daily walks and exercise
Mental enrichment through toys and games
Continued socialization
A predictable routine
Plenty of love, patience, and reassurance
With a little time to settle in, Max is sure to become a loyal and devoted member of the family.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Adopting Max is a lifelong commitment that includes providing proper veterinary care, exercise, training, and companionship.
As part of responsible pet ownership, Max will need:
Annual veterinary wellness examinations
Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian
Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
A balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight
Daily physical exercise and mental stimulation
Continued positive reinforcement training
A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a valued member of the family
We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and help ensure Max continues to thrive.
