Obi arrived at the shelter in January 2026 alongside his best friend, Momo. The two cats shared the hardships of life as strays and faced many challenges together before finally finding safety. When Obi first arrived, he still bore the marks of his life on the streets.
Today, Obi is a handsome blonde boy of about five and a half years old. He is a large, gentle, and easygoing cat who enjoys long naps and a peaceful environment. Obi likes to take life at his own pace. He simply needs a little time to build trust, but once that bond is formed, he becomes a loyal, loving, and devoted companion who truly adores his people.
At the shelter, we've noticed that Obi isn't particularly interested in other cats. The only one who truly matters to him is Momo, with whom he shares a very special bond. That said, Obi would also be perfectly happy as the only cat in the home, where he could become his person's very best friend. The quickest way to win his heart? Treats! Obi absolutely loves them—especially Creamy treats!
It is important to note that Obi is very playful. He loves feather wand toys. They are a great way to keep him mentally and physically stimulated, and playtime is an excellent way to bond with him. If you're dreaming of adopting a pair, we encourage you to read Momo's profile as well. By welcoming them both into your home, you'll be giving these lifelong friends the chance to continue their journey side by side.
Please note:
Obi still needs to undergo a dental procedure, which will be fully covered by the shelter. His future adopters will simply need to bring him to his appointment in Anjou once we contact them to confirm the date. All costs related to the procedure will be covered by the shelter.
Obi is an adult
cat, therefore the adoption fee is $290$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Six weeks of pet insurance are included with the adoption.
