Peanut is in NJ looking for a foster or adopter.
Meet Peanut, a 7-year-old sweetheart who just had his whole world turned upside down after being surrendered by the only family he’s ever known.
He’s understandably a little unsure right now, but through it all, he remains friendly and loving with people. Peanut is a big, strong boy who could benefit from some weight loss—and the good news is, he loves walks and even jogging, so he’d be a great buddy for someone active.
He prefers calmer dog friends (especially smaller or more submissive dogs), no cats please, and would do best in a home with older kids since he can get a little jumpy when excited. He may whine a bit as he settles in—he’s just learning to adjust—but he’s also mellow in the home and yard once he feels safe.
Peanut is a gentle soul who just needs a little time, patience, and love to shine again.
Peanut is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. He
has been neutered and has a microchip. His
adoption fee is $300
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
