Birthday: January 1, 2024
Teddy was found outdoors and fed for the last few months. Thinking he was feral, he was trapped and neutered. During his neuter surgery, he was treated for an open wound on his back. He also suffered an ear injury that left one ear adorably crumpled. He also tested positive for FIV. After he was released back outside, unlike most feral cats, he returned the day after being released looking for companionship. When he did, he would return with new scratches and cuts, making it clear that life outside is no longer safe for him. That was when he was brought to LCCR.
Since then, Teddy has become extremely friendly and showed his very gentle nature. He would happily sit beside his foster for hours outside just wanting to feel safe and loved.
Teddy is one of those cats who simply wants to love and be loved. His favorite place is right beside his person, soaking up pets, scratches, affection, and most importantly, belly rubs. He is incredibly interactive and loves "talking" with people. He happily meows back during conversations and makes the sweetest little grunts and purrs when he's being petted. If he had his way, he would spend the entire day cuddling and chatting.
He is very well behaved and seems to get along with other animals. He cared for a young mother cat, moving away from the food bowl to allow her to eat on several occasions. He would even guard the porch entrance to protect her while she ate. He would walk away from racoons and skunks, never showing aggression. He is a peaceful, timid cat who avoids conflict whenever possible.
Teddy would be a perfect kitty for anyone looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with conversations, endless affection, and a heart full of gratitude.
Teddy's adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
