Meet Harlan!
Harlan is a handsome 8-year-old registered Bichon Frise who is looking for a loving new home through no fault of his own. His owner dearly loves him but is no longer physically able to provide the care he deserves and will soon be moving into a senior apartment.
Harlan is current on all of his vaccinations, heartworm negative, regularly groomed, and recently had a clean bill of health at his annual veterinary checkup. He also has a transferable Banfield Wellness Plan for his new family.
While Harlan can be a little cautious when meeting new people, once he gets to know you, he quickly becomes an affectionate, loyal little love bug. He is wonderful with children, gets along well with other dogs, and is very sociable.
Harlan is fully potty trained, lets you know when he needs to go outside by barking at the door, and can comfortably make it through the night without needing a potty break. He is also content staying home during the day while his family is at work. He has never been crate trained because he has never needed one and happily sleeps in his own bed each night.
He’s a little overweight at the moment, likely because he hasn’t been getting his usual twice-daily walks for over a year, but with regular exercise and a healthy routine, he should slim down nicely.
Harlan’s owner is able to continue caring for him until the right family is found. Her greatest wish is simply to find him the loving, forever home he deserves.
