Meet Emily: A Sweet Soul Ready for Her Forever Home
Emily is a wonderful, affectionate cat who has truly earned her place in a loving home. Estimated to be around 4 years old, this resilient girl spent a portion of her life as part of a feral colony in the North County area before her sweet personality won over the hearts of those caring for her.
A Heartwarming Journey
Emily was first trapped, spayed, and returned to her colony in December 2023. Over the next two and a half years, she occasionally visited the colony feeder, but recently, she decided she was ready for more. A month ago, she approached her feeder two evenings in a row, clearly seeking companionship and love. When she returned a third time wanting affection, her feeder knew it was time to bring her inside, away from the dangers of the outdoors.
Personality & Temperament
Since coming indoors, Emily has proven to be a delight. She absolutely loves attention, enjoys being petted and brushed, and will even show her contentment by making biscuits. She is also very well-behaved during routine care, such as nail trims.
While currently separated from the resident cats in her foster home, Emily has interacted with adult cats, kittens, and a friendly medium-sized dog through a divider. She has shown no aggression whatsoever and should integrate well into a new home with appropriate introductions.
