Meet Meadow! Some stories begin with heartbreak, but Meadow's is all about resilience, second chances, and the incredible spirit of a kitten who never let life's challenges slow her down.At a very young and fragile age, this beautiful brown tabby Domestic Shorthair came into Macomb County Animal Control with a severely infected eye that could not be saved, requiring emergency enucleation surgery. Thanks to the dedicated care she received and plenty of love in her foster home while she recovered, Meadow has blossomed into the confident, playful, and affectionate kitten she was always meant to be.Today, Meadow doesn't let having one eye define her in the slightest. While her peripheral vision isn't quite as wide as other cats, she is not considered a special needs kitten and tackles life with all the curiosity, energy, and mischief you'd expect from any young feline. She runs, plays, pounces, explores, and keeps everyone entertained with her fearless personality.Meadow has never met a stranger. She absolutely adores people, thrives on attention, and has made fast friends with the cats and dogs in her foster home. Whether she's chasing toys across the room, investigating every corner of the house, or curling up for affection, she wants to be part of whatever you're doing. One of Meadow's favorite pastimes is conquering cat trees. She's a master climber who loves reaching the highest perch to survey her kingdom before launching into her next playful adventure. She also enjoys every toy she can get her paws on and never turns down a tasty treatâespecially wet food or an INABA Churu. In fact, she'll happily help hold the Churu tube while you squeeze it, making treat time even more adorable.Meadow has already overcome more than most kittens ever should, yet she greets every day with optimism, confidence, and a joyful heart. She isn't looking for sympathyâshe's looking for a family who will see her for exactly who she is: an incredibly loving, playful, and remarkable kitten who deserves a lifetime of happiness. If you're ready to welcome a resilient little soul with a huge personality into your home, Meadow is ready to fill your days with laughter, love, and endless kitten antics. All she asks in return is a family who will cherish her forever. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.
