Meet Plum
Plum is a sweet and gentle 3-year-old girl whose life was turned upside down after her owner abandoned the property where she lived. When the home was foreclosed on, Fairfax County rescued Plum, giving her the second chance she so desperately needed. Through no fault of her own, she suddenly lost the only home she had ever known and found herself searching for safety once again.
After everything she's been through, it's understandable that Plum can be a little shy when meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment. She simply needs a little time, patience, and reassurance to realize she's finally safe. As her confidence grows, so does her affectionate personality, revealing the incredibly loving companion waiting just beneath the surface.
When Plum looks at you with her stunning, soulful eyes, it's as though she can see straight into your heart. Once she knows she is loved, she returns that love wholeheartedly, forming a beautiful bond with the people she trusts.
Plum also deserves a little pampering. She could use some spa time to help her beautiful coat shine and would benefit from shedding a few extra pounds. It's likely that after experiencing neglect and uncertainty, she overate simply because she didn't know when her next meal would come.
