At around 3 months old, Scuba Steve is one seriously handsome kitten with a gorgeous, fluffy coat and movie-star looks. He knows he’s cute… or at least he suspects it.
Among his brothers, Stanley is the social butterfly and Happy Gilmore is close behind. Scuba Steve? He’s the guy who likes to pretend he has somewhere important to be. He’ll make you work just a tiny bit for your cuddles… but not for long. I simply scoop him up, give him all the hugs and kisses whether he planned on it or not, and within seconds he’s completely relaxed like,
“Well… this isn’t so bad after all.”
He occasionally plays a quick game of “catch me if you can,” but he’s not committed to the bit. He gives in pretty easily because, deep down, he loves the attention.
Scuba Steve is curious, playful, and gaining confidence every day. He’s been around a 75-pound dog and, while he respectfully gives the big guy a wide berth, he isn’t hiding under furniture or panicking. He’s more like,
“You stay over there, I’ll stay over here… and we’ll see how this friendship develops.”
Like many kittens, he follows the lead of his littermates. Once he’s in a home of his own, without the sibling competition, his personality is likely to shine even brighter.
