Birthday: October 31, 2025
Darla was adopted out with her twin kitten sister in February 2026. Both she and her sister were shy when they first went to their new home, which was active with little kids. Somewhere along the way, Darla ended up with an injury to her eye, and her new owners returned her to the rescue for treatment in April 2026. Darla understandably was sad and quite disoriented that she lost her sister, her new home, and her vision in one eye all within the span of a day. Darla came back to us for some rest and rehab. Thankfully, her ruptured cornea was saved, but it took a toll on Darla's ability to trust people (understandably). It had taken her months of patience, kindness, and care for her to begin to trust humans again.
Darla is full of curiosity. When a new toy (or foster kitty) appears, she quickly forgets that she's afraid of being hurt again. Darla enjoys the company of other kitties, and dogs don't seem to bother her at all. Darla needs an adopter who has nothing but patience and love to get to know her. She's a playful girl who loves her toys and kitty friends. When she gets to know someone, she becomes an affectionate girl who just enjoys spending her time with you.
Darla's adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
