Weight: 42 lbs when weighed 7/8/26 and growing. Bridget, her mom is 9 lbs but dad must have been a tad bigger as Violet is growing daily.
Height: Puppies grow daily! Right now, Violet is about 4" at the shoulder. We think she will be about 8" when full grown
Spayed/Neutered: Violet is too young to be surgically altered. Your adoption contract will include an addendum laying out the best time to spay (between six months but no later than one year), the post spay follow up requirements we ask for and the condition that he never be used for breeding. The financial responsibility for spay belongs to the adopter.
Adoption Fee: $299
Fence needed? No but Violet is a very young puppy. We have not yet introduced leashes. She is being taught to go on pee pads and could be introduced to a harness. If you do not have a fence, our best suggestion for a young puppy is an exercise pen in your yard for a place to go potty. Please note, young dogs go about every hour for every month old they are until about 4 to 5 months old. Expect late night potty breaks!

Vioelt is a puppy and she is all puppy! At 10 weeks old we already know that she is adventuresome and affectionate. Singleton pups are often very independent and Violet is no exception. She loves to go and do and see. She is hanging out with Eddie and Winnie now and learning that siblings can be fun but she is also very bonded to humans. People have been her besties since birth (Violet had two siblings that passed in the first few weeks).
Now let's talk about her breed. Mom is most likely a yorkie poo. Bridget's breeder sadly passed and most of the records never made it to the new homes for the dogs as the family dealt with their loss. We have NO idea who dad was. We know there were shih tzu's in this breeder's lines along with yorkshire terriers and poodles and we know she co-bred with a woman who had pugs. So - who knows. A DNA test would be interesting.
Puppies need another canine friend and plenty of play, activity, and stimulation. They are energetic, agile, and require homes prepared to meet their mental and physical needs, including a fenced yard. Puppies are typically friendly with everyone and can thrive in many home types as long as their adopter is ready for training, structure, and engagement. With proper boundaries and early socialization, puppies can also do well with cats. For Violet, she would do well as an only dog if she had play dates. If you do not have another dog, please also include in your information your plan for off leash play with other dogs Violet's same age and size at least two times per week.

Must have: A home with another small, active dog is ideal but if no dog in the home, what are your play date plans? Violet does need someone home more than they are away. Puppies are a lot of work and need canine friends and human supervision!
Exercise: Puppies will need more exercise as they grow!
PUPPY POLICY: Puppies are wonderful but require significantly more time, energy, and training than adult dogs. Many adult dogs in rescue are already well‑bred, well‑trained, and eager to bond, while puppies demand far more work and consistency. To ensure lifelong placements, our ideal puppy adopters are experienced dog owners with excellent vet‑care history, are home most of the day (away no more than 4 hours), and already have another dog in the home.
