Meet Dellie, a sweet and spunky, pocket-sized pup who is full of personality and confidence. Listed as “Belly” on Starfish, Dellie is about 13 weeks old and just shy of 12 pounds. The vet believes she is a mix of small terriers, possibly a Feist with a splash of Beagle. While she may be small, she is sturdy, athletic, and built for fun, packing an impressive amount of energy and agility into her compact frame. She likely won’t get much bigger and would make a fantastic adventure buddy or agility prospect.
Dellie absolutely adores people and has done wonderfully with her foster’s three kids, ages 10, 13, and 16. She bonds strongly with her humans and loves to curl up in laps for snuggles. With other dogs, she is confident and assertive. With proper introductions, she may do well with a playful and submissive dog, but she would likely be happiest as the queen of the castle. She enjoys playing with other dogs as long as she can be in charge.
Exceptionally smart for her age, Dellie learns quickly and already knows sit, lay down, give paw, and spin. She loves toys, chews, and food puzzles, and can happily entertain herself, though she also enjoys interactive play with her people. What really sets Dellie apart is her bravery and composure. She notices everything, walks confidently on a leash, sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, and is doing an excellent job with house training. She even aces the small agility course her foster kids built for her and enjoys splashing in the water.
Dellie is energetic, curious, and playful, but she also knows how to settle and relax on the couch or in her bed. She is polite and quiet in the house, with just enough watchdog instinct to alert without being overly barky. Dellie is looking for a home that will appreciate her intelligence, confidence, and affectionate nature, and give her the love and engagement she thrives on

The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip,
age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure
