SWEET & A LITTLE SHY: Approx. 7-8 months / Approx. 37 lbs. & growing
Hi there, I'm Jelly Bean! I'm an adorable young pup who was adopted for a couple of months, but my family moved and couldn't take me with them, so I'm back with Mostly Mutts looking for my furever family! I'm hopeful and looking forward to lots of good times with my family. I was selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience off-site and I learned a lot! Now I'm in a wonderful foster home while I wait to meet my new family!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I absolutely love the other dogs I've met while with my foster family, and my former owner also reported that I liked the dogs I met while I was with them, so if you have a dog that would like a puppy friend, let's meet! I would love to have a doggie friend in my new home! / I met a neighbor's kitty from across a room and didn't seem interested, though all cats are different so I'm not sure how I would do with a different kitty. / I met two nice 6-year-old boys at Mostly Mutts, and I was quite unsure and fearful of them, although I did not show any aggression. I like the dog savvy 11-and 16-year-old kids in my foster home, so if you have kids like this that are older, let's meet. Also, kids shouldn't walk me as I can be a flight risk and occasionally pull away from something that startles me on walks.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a super sweet girl who is a little timid at first, but once I warm up to you, my happy, playful personality shines through! I'm a ball of energy who loves to play and have fun. I seem to prefer women more than men, so I'll want men to be extra kind and patient with me like my foster dad. Since I can be nervous of certain things on my walks, I think I'd do best in a single-family home rather than an apartment. / Energy level: 5-7.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I've learned the 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'come', 'leave it', and 'drop it' commands as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping. I'm working on my leash manners in my foster home. They are pretty good but sometimes something will startle me on a walk such as a trash can, etc. so a firm grip is important as I don't want to get lost or hurt. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let's continue my training together. / My former owner reported that I was crate trained and after some good play time in my foster home, I'll go to my crate for a nap. / My potty manners are good in my foster home as I let them know when I need to go outside.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love running around and playing with toys and having fun with my people. I also enjoy some nice walks in a quieter environment too. I just know we'll have lots of fun together in my new home, and I can't wait to discover all the fun times we'll share. / I don't think I'd want to be rushed into new situations or with new people, so just give me a little time to adjust to new things, and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual immunizations, micro-chipped and spayed.
If you're ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let's meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
