Hi, I'm Lyja!I'm a FIDO Project dog- FIDO stands for Florida Inmates & Dog Obedience. I live inside our local men's prison so they can help me learn a few things that might help me find a home. Each FIDO class gets their own theme- ours is called, The Fanstastic Fur. I arrived in the shelter in April. Before that, I was at another shelter, and just didn't find my person. The folks in Marion took a chance on me, so I packed my bags and went on a trip. I’m strong on leash but growing each day. I know how to make everyone have a good belly laugh at my zoomies - I tuck my butt in just right and take off. I guess it's important for you to know that young kids make me a bit nervous. The inmates are teaching me so many new words and I really love the attention I get in the prison. I know everyone doesn't want to be here- but I think it's great!
