Weekly Gargoyle Report: Still weird. Somehow even more lovable.
Meet Gargoyle
1-year-old mixed breed
Male • Neutered
45 lbs
Partially blind and deaf
This week’s accomplishments:
Knows which door leads outside and heads right to it.
Rare potty accidents (usually because his foster mom missed his schedule… he’ll tell you it wasn’t his fault ).
Still perfect in his crate.
Gives the sweetest kisses.
Has discovered that baby talk is, in fact, the greatest thing ever.
He still has two speeds:
- Professional Couch Cuddler
- “I’M HUNGRY OR I WANT TO PLAY RIGHT NOW!” complete with barking, jumping, and dramatic enthusiasm.
His signature move is still the occasional “love nibble.” It’s his very odd way of saying, “I adore you.” We’re continuing to work on it, and he’s improved so much!
Gargoyle still needs a family willing to give him time. He’s not the kind of dog who walks into a new home and instantly acts like he’s lived there forever. He needs patience, reassurance, and consistency. But once he trusts you, he turns into the funniest, sweetest, most affectionate little weirdo you’ll ever meet.
A calm, neutral dog would still be a great fit.
No young children.
Not recommended for anyone with mobility or balance concerns—when excitement strikes, Gargoyle occasionally forgets he has brakes.
If you’ve ever wanted a dog who’s equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, and lovable oddball… Gargoyle is patiently waiting to meet you. And yes, he’ll probably give you a kiss within the first five minutes.
Gargoyle is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines and is heart-worm negative. He’s fostered in New Bloomfield, PA.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at . Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
