I'm part of Pawfect Match's Special Care & Rehabilitation Program. My journey is a little different than most.Some of us are healing from medical conditions. Some of us are learning to trust. Some of us have special needs or require a very specific home to thrive. While we're always open to meeting the right family, our priority is making sure we're happy, healthy, and loved every step of the way.
For me, that means it would take a truly special home—someone who understands my unique needs and is committed to giving me the life I deserve. If that person comes along, we'd love to hear from them! Until then, Pawfect Match is proud to be my safety net and my family.
My care doesn't stop after my rescue. Food, medications, routine veterinary care, enrichment, and lots of love are all part of my everyday life.

Chou is a 5-year-old, 22-pound guy who just wants to be loved. He came from a scary shelter, but you’d never guess it — this little guy’s heart is full of love and hope.
He can be shy in new situations and needs time to warm up, but patience pays off — when Chou trusts you, he’ll be your most loyal and loving friend. Give him a soft bed, gentle words, and lots of love, and he’ll give you his whole heart in return. Decompression time is KEY with this guy. He needs patience, and feel safe, and once he feels that, he will let you pet him and follow you everywhere
The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed.
