Some dogs just need someone willing to see all the potential hiding beneath the surface. Skye is one of those dogs—a beautiful, bright German Shepherd who is ready for someone to help her become everything we know she can be.
Skye and her sister, Rain, were found as strays. We were sure someone would come looking for these beautiful girls, but sadly, no one ever did. Now Skye is looking forward instead of back—and she’s more than ready to find a family of her own.
At just over 50 pounds, Skye is petite for a German Shepherd, but she has all the intelligence, loyalty, and enthusiasm we love about the breed. She’s eager to please, learns quickly, and would thrive with someone who enjoys training and giving their dog structure and direction. She may still have a few rough edges when it comes to manners and basic commands, but underneath them is a really good girl who wants to get it right.
Skye also has plenty of energy for adventures. Whether it’s exploring a new trail, heading out for a walk, or simply being included in whatever her humans are doing, she’s ready to have a life filled with experiences alongside her person.
